Living the fierce life

I don’t have the “white hat” of the gladiators. Mine is very much noir.  I don’t have Kerry Washington’s onset wardrobe consultant- but I do have my favorite Zaracoat that friends refer to as my ‘Olivia Pope’ coat.  I don’t have the Naomi cat-walk or Queen Diana’s grace, (all the time); more like crouching tiger hidden dragon.  I pounce at my son every time he gets off task.  When our schedule is filled for the day, He says to me – “Mom, you better put that ‘S’ on your chest and your roller skates on.”  Sometimes those skates look like stilettos, sneakers, snow boots or sandals.  No matter the hat, the coat, purse or shoe, motherhood is only for the fierce.
